Association Awards

Annual Chair and CEO Awards

Each year, at the annual SMSF Association National Conference, we celebrate our members who have made a significant contribution to the Association and the sector more broadly over the past year.

Previous winners of both the SMSF Association Chair and CEO Awards are amongst the most respected, decorated and esteemed in the industry.

Chair Award

Selected by the SMSF Association Board Chair from member nominations, this award recognises members who have made a significant contribution to the SMSF sector.

CEO Award

This award recognises a member who has made a significant contribution to the SMSF Association, and selected by the SMSF Association CEO from internal nominations.

2025 Award Winners

Congratulations to our worthy 2025 Award Winners, and thank your for your tireless efforts and significant contributions to the SMSF sector.

2025 SMSF Association Chair Award Winner

Leigh Mansell

This award recognises a member who has made an outstanding contribution to the growth and sustainability of the SMSF sector, and no one better symbolises this description than Leigh who has been a major contributor via her exceptional education skills.

In addition to her contributions to education, Leigh’s leadership and insights during the 2024 Treasury legacy pension amnesty consultations were instrumental. Her influence played a key role in shaping a legislative outcome that will benefit many SMSF members.

2025 SMSF Association CEO Award Winner

Brooke Hepburn-Rogers

The CEO Award is conferred on a member who had made a significant contribution to foster the SMSF community and embodied the values of the Association.

No one better fits that description than Brooke, the Founder and Director of the ACT-based Foxton Financial, who had more than 22 years’ experience in the sector, was Chair of the ACT Local Community Committee from March 2020 to July 2023, and always a strong advocate of our Association.

Sadly, Brooke passed away last year, so this Award is a poignant reminder and tribute to her unwavering support and dedication to the sector over many years.

From her parents, Rebecca and John, and her brothers Mark and Andrew

Brooke was such a proud supporter of the Association for many years, enjoying the benefits of membership and the interaction and friendships made with others in the fraternity. She would be excited about this award. She worked so hard for her clients, she cared about all of them. Her kindness was genuine.
Creating Foxton Financial was a huge step but she had confidence in her ability to make her company a success. The professional backing the Association afforded her was an important part of that success.
What a night she would have had now. Celebrating! Mind you she wasn’t comfortable giving speeches!
Thank you for this recognition of a wonderful girl who did brilliant work and loved every minute of it.
