Strategies for successful aged care planning

National Conference 2024

This session will take a practical look at how to successfully provide aged care advice, in an interactive workshop setting. Looking beyond just the rules and available strategies, this session is split into two parts to examine and discuss the “how and what” of aged care advice. The session aims to provide solutions to common barriers faced by advisers.

Starting with a real-life case study, the first section will help attendees to identify the problems to solve for the clients and how to build appropriate solutions. Importantly, Louise & Danni will share practical tips for how to analyse and interpret the results, as well as how to effectively explain the outcomes and options to clients. In the second section, Danni (with 14 years experience as a specialist aged care financial planner) will use the client case study to take attendees through how to run and conduct the initial client meeting, overcoming client objections and conveying the value of aged care advice to build a profitable and effective aged care advice component into your business.

This session covers the technical, the analytical and the practical aspects of aged care advice.
